Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 June 2026

Swan Labs("Swan Labs", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account information (email address, name) when you create an account
  • Messages and content you share when using Swan Chat
  • Contact information when you reach out to us
  • WA postcode for residency verification (we never collect full addresses)
  • Payment information processed securely by Stripe

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data (pages visited, features used)
  • Device information (browser type, operating system)
  • IP address and general location
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve our services
  • Process your transactions and manage your account
  • Respond to your enquiries and provide support
  • Send service-related communications
  • Verify WA residency for the WA Resident program
  • Analyse usage patterns to improve our products
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. AI and Your Data

When you use Swan Chat, your messages are processed by AI models to generate responses. We use third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and others) to power our chat features.

  • Guests: Conversations are stored locally in your browser only. We do not retain message content on our servers.
  • Signed-in users: Chat history is stored in your browser on this device. Generated images may be saved to your account library. You can delete your account data at any time.
  • Where Swan gives an uncertain answer, we may log the question and response internally so our team can improve prompts and product knowledge. This is for product quality review — not to train third-party AI models.
  • Our AI providers may process your messages according to their own privacy policies.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers who help us operate our services (hosting, payment processing, analytics)
  • AI model providers to process your chat requests
  • Professional advisors (lawyers, accountants) when necessary
  • Law enforcement when required by law

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in
  • Remember your preferences
  • Understand how you use our services
  • Improve our products

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some features.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

Under Australian Privacy Law and other applicable laws, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal information
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
